GENERAL STUDENT SAFETY

As an organization committed to the success of our students, student safety is our top priority at Robin’s Nest Tutoring. As such, the following form outlines our general policies regarding student and COVID-19 safety. A parent or guardian signature is required for all students in order to receive services. The contact information requested must be up to date, and parents or guardians should inform Robin’s Nest Tutoring of any changes in information.

All tutors are expected to maintain a professional demeanor with their students. Tutors are also expected to uphold the confidentiality of their students and may not discuss identifying student information (such as a student’s name, contact information, school, or grade level) outside of the organization without the written consent of the student’s parent or guardian. Students will not be photographed unless they have a signed photo consent form. As our in-person tutoring takes place at the library, there will always be adults (librarians) near where tutoring services are provided, and parents/guardians are encouraged to sit in on their child’s tutoring sessions. In case of any concerns, parents/guardians or students should email the organization.

COVID-19 POLICY

Robin’s Nest Tutoring takes COVID-19 very seriously and has a policy to keep both our students and tutors as safe as possible. All tutors are required to be fully vaccinated before they may tutor in person and are required to wear masks while tutoring. Students will be encouraged to wear masks and masks will be provided at all locations.

If a student or tutor has been exposed to COVID-19, they may not come to in-person tutoring. Students or tutors with symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness may not come to in-person tutoring. Students or tutors who test positive for COVID-19 may not come to tutoring until cleared to do so by a medical professional. If a student exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 (including but not limited to excessive coughing, fever, or nausea) during a tutoring session, their parent/guardian will be contacted and expected to pick up their child immediately.

If a student tests positive for COVID-19 after receiving tutoring from Robin’s Nest, a parent/guardian should contact the organization as soon as possible. All tutors and students will be notified if there is a positive test among the tutors or students who come to in-person tutoring and will be expected to receive a negative test result before returning to tutoring.

Despite all of our mitigation efforts, Robin’s Nest Tutoring also acknowledges that the only way to completely stop the spread of COVID-19 is to limit in-person contact. As such, Robin’s Nest Tutoring offers free online tutoring that students may sign up for on our website. Robin’s Nest may also cancel or move services online with little or no notice due to COVID-19 outbreaks.
